Event Planning Tips
1. Delegate! Don’t do it all yourself.
People will offer to help, let them. Get as much off of your plate as you are comfortable with.
2. Use an inclusive venue (like Shadow Hills) that does much of the work for you.
A venue that provides catering, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, etc., will save you time (and money). Inclusive venues keep your planning simple by eliminating multiple vendors.
3. Start planning early and reserve your date as soon as possible.
The best venues and vendors are going to be the most popular and will book up quickly. Reserve your date right away so you don’t have to settle for your second choice.
4. Have guests RSVP.
And plan to call or email many of them. Guests are notoriously bad about RSVPing. Build in a buffer between your RSVP date and your event.
5. Create a checklist so you don’t forget anything.
Checklists will help you stay on track and keep you from having to run around town on the day of the event.
